Individual
Psychotherapy

Tammy works with individual  clients (primarily age 18+) on a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, caregiver issues, grief, and life-stage adjustments

Couples
Therapy

For over 26 years, Tammy has worked with couples on a broad range of topics. From communication issues to recovery from infidelity and beyond, she has guided hundreds of couples through their challenges to a stronger, healthier relationship.

Premarital
Counseling

Premarital counseling is a vital step in establishing a healthy marriage. Tammy has used several different assessment tools in the past, and currently encourages premarital couples to use the Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts (SYMBIS) assessment as a help to exploring their relationship.

Trauma
Recovery

Trauma-focused techniques have grown significantly to help clients recover from single-event or long-term traumas. Tammy first trained in EMDR, then added Image Transformation Therapy (ImTT) to her skill set. Both of these techniques help clients activate their minds' own healing processes to resolve the emotional impact of past events.

Therapy Sessions
My Approach

Tammy Zwarst, MA, LPC, LMFT, BCPCC, has over 25 years experience providing professional individual, family, and marriage counseling with a distinctively Christian perspective. Her particular passion is for taking broken and hurting marriages and helping restore them to God's design for how a marriage relationship is supposed to work. Many people assume that infidelity means the end of a marriage, but it has been her experience that when a couple will trust God to help them through difficult times, their marriage ends up stronger than it was before. It is not easy, but it is worth it in the end.

Although many clients prefer to include a Christian perspective to help solve their problems, this is not mandatory. She has always been happy to work with clients of any denomination or no religious affiliation at all. Out of mutual respect, she will not ask you to violate your sincere beliefs and requests the same courtesy.
